South Carolina School of the Arts
Trumpet Studio
Welcome to the
South Carolina School of the Arts
Trumpet Studio!
Located on the beautiful campus of Anderson University, the South Carolina School of the Arts trains professional visual, musical, and theatrical artists who are serious about both their art and Christian faith. Staffed by highly trained and world-class artists, musicians, actors, dancers, theatrical designers, and scholars, we mentor students to develop their artistry to its fullest potential so they may thrive professionally and serve others through the arts. In the trumpet studio, we aim to mold young, aspiring musicians into diverse performers and educators, ready to tackle the changing landscape of the music industry. Whether in classical or commercial settings, today's trumpet students should be well-rounded and prepared for any musical opportunities.
Students receive personalized, individual attention with Professor Imhoff. They are offered ample playing opportunities in a variety of ensembles. From Mahler symphonies to brass quintet literature to the music of rock and roll band, Chicago, students will be challenged to grow technically on the instrument and more importantly, musically.
Students also have the opportunity to work in conjunction with the Musical Theatre department on upcoming productions. Past shows have included: Big Fish, Sister Act, Curtains, and Guys & Dolls.
Come visit and see how the South Carolina School of the Arts can help you in your musical journey
